Dublin Council expected to choose new member tonight to fill vacant position
Vacancy created with the election of Councilman Eric Swalwell to Congress last November

 | The Dublin City Council is expected to choose a new council member tonight to succeed former Councilman Eric Swalwell, who resigned after being elected to Congress last November.
At its Feb. 5 meeting, the council elected to fill this vacancy through an application and appointment process.
City staff began soliciting applications for this position, closing the process Feb. 13.
A total of 10 applications from interested
community members have been received and approved by the staff as being eligible for consideraiton at tonight's meeting.
They are Anita B. Carr, Lisa Trujillo, Doreen Wehrenberg, Rameet Kohli, Elpi Abulencia, Abe Gupta, Morgan Dean King, Shawn Costello, Philip Tucker and Tara Bhuthimethee.
Information on the 10 individuals has been provided to the council, which will also hear their presentations tonight.
