Youth Orchestra to play classics tomorrow
Free admission at Livermore church to hear works by Beethoven, Stravinsky, others

 | The Livermore-Amador Symphony Youth Orchestra will perform works by Beethoven, Stravinsky, Saint-Saens, Brahms, Gershwin, Holst, Vaughn Williams and Larsson and its 2012 concert starting at 8 p.m. tomorrow.
The 60 musicians range in age from seventh-graders through college and are supported by mentors from the Livermore-Amador Symphony. They have been working under the direction of Goran Berg, artistic director of Sycamore Strings Academy in Livermore, and Kathy Boster, music teacher at East Avenue Middle School.
The concert begins at 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 11, at the First Presbyterian Church in Livermore, at the corner of Fourth and L streets.
